Dawn on Ibiza

One of the unmissable things for tourists to enjoy, and something we have spoken about in another post, is the sunset in Ibiza. However, dawn in Ibiza is a show of nature which is equally impressive and steeped in beauty, although of course, it is only suitable either for the early risers or for enjoying before turning in after an intense night of island partying.

Those moments of magical light at the start of a new day are truly special and we highly recommend you experience them during your stay on the island. Bearing in mind that the sun rises in the east, here we suggest some of the best spots for watching the dawn in Ibiza and starting your day the best possible way

The best options for watching the sunrise on Ibiza

Playa de Talamanca

Very close to Ibiza town we find this pleasant beach which boasts all amenities and some highly

recommendable restaurants. Thanks to its easy access, it is a perfect place to enjoy the first rays of the day. Bar Flotante or Hostal Talamanca, among others, are very popular with the locals and are open all year so you can have you breakfast as the day breaks.

Aguas Blancas

If you are in search of a place of wild natural beauty to watch the sunrise, you should check out the cove of Aguas Blancas between San Carlos and Cala San Vicente. This beach, located beneath a low cliff, is still quite unspoilt and is one of the most popular beaches with the locals. It has a couple of beach bars, so you can enjoy a drink if you wish. Many people make the most of the clay there to have a mud bath. It is also a great place for snorkelling.

Cala Nova

Close to the residential town of Es Canar you will find this gorgeous sandy beach. The open bay means that it is one of the few places on the island where you can often encounter waves, yet its waters are really transparent and clean. There are several beach bars and restaurants where you can have breakfast.

Playa de Las Salinas

One of Ibiza’s busiest and most famous beaches is also one of the most beautiful. In summer it can be somewhat tricky to get to appreciate it due to the large amount of visitors, so it is really worthwhile to get up early to gaze at its amazing turquoise waters at first light. To make the most of the morning, go for a walk as far as the Torre de Ses Portes opposite Formentera and between Salinas and Es Cavallet and then enjoy a good breakfast in one of the restaurants or beach clubs along the beach.

Playa d’en Bossa or Figueretas

If you plan to spend a few days partying on Ibiza, you could easily catch the daybreak near these two areas close to Ibiza town. Avail of the wee hours to see the first sunrays of dawn in the relative tranquillity of that time of the day in these otherwise busy areas.
