Ibiza is a small island with a year long temperate climate, making it the ideal place to get to know by motorbike.Travelling around Ibiza by motorbike you can discover no end of charming spots and get to the coves which are located off the beaten track.

Once you have decided to go for it, you can choose from two options; either rent a bike directly and go on your own adventure, or book a tour with a company which specialises in activiities.

There are loads of beautiful motorbike routes for getting to know the more authentic and wild Ibiza. We recommend 5 routes for you to discover Ibiza by motorbike.

1. Motorbike route along the Southeast Coast:

Setting off from Sa Caleta, the beach closest to the airport, we suggest you follow the coast to discover Cala Jondal a beach of rounded stones with a great vibe, the cliffs of Es Cubells, the quiet bay of Porroig or the popular Cala d’Hort, from where you can enjoy incredible views of the famous rock of Es Vedrá. And of course it is worth visiting the towns of  San José and San Agustín,

 

2. Motorbike route around the South of Ibiza:

This is a short route to explore the Salinas Natural Park, the most important one of the island with its salt flats, flamencos and beautiful coastline… Head for Sant Francesc de Ses Salines, your starting point for the salt flats, then explore Es Cavallet, Salinas, Es Cap des Falcó and Es Codolar. You can also visit two of the island’s defense towers as well as the village of  Sant Jordi and  drive around the always lively Playa d’en Bossa.

3. Motorbike route along the Northeast of Ibiza:

Setting off from San Antonio, discover charming rural villages like Buscastell, Forada or Santa Inés as you drive past vinyards, orchards and white houses. Carry on to San Mateo and San Miguel or even as far as San Juan and San Lorenzo to really get to know the area called Es Amunts which takes up most of the north of the island. If you have time to spare you can drop by some beautiful spots along the coast like Cala Salada, Cala Aubarca, Es Portixol, Benirràs or Cala Xarraca.

 

4. Motorbike route around the East of Ibiza:

Leaving from Ibiza, head towards Santa Eulalia along the coast road, passing through the town of Jesus, and the urbanizations of Roca Llisa and Cala Llonga. After visiting Santa Eulalia (going up the Puig de Misa is a must), continue to Es Canar, a very lively tourist centre, and from there on to San Carlos, an inland town. On the way you can visit the small but very picturesque beaches such as Cala Nova, Cala Mestella, Cala Llenya or Es Figueral. Finish the route with a visit to Cala de Sant Vicente.

 

5. Motorbike route through Ibiza town:

A great way to get to know the historic Ibiza at your ease – visiting the old town of Dalt Vila and the old fisherman’s port (la Marina). You can also take in Puig d’en Valls with its old flour mill, the town of Jesús and the beaches of playa de Talamanca and Playa d’en Bossa.
