Cala Conta is one of the most beautiful beaches to enjoy the spectacular sunsets, it is also one of the beaches with more variety.
Cala Conta has fabulous views of the islands dotted around the coastline here and beautiful turquoise waters, making it one of the best beaches on the island.
There is a small cove at one end that can only be reached through by steps hewn into the rock with a small Chiringuito (with snack BAR), followed by a larger beach, then followed by a slightly smaller beach, ideal for children as the water is usually calmer, there is a beach bar-Bar, where serve cool drinks, fast foods, sushi etc, there is an accessories shop too.
The views from the beach in summer take in the amazing sunsets - so book yourself a table at one of the restaurants and enjoy one of nature’s greatest spectacles!
In the high season the beach is very popular, so come either in the early morning or later in the afternoon.
LOCATION: It is on the Westside of the Island, 12 minutes drive from San José y a 15 Minutes drive from San Antonio.
SIZE: 800 meters long, 15-30 meters wide.
FACILITIES: The two main beaches are separated by a beach restaurant with fabulous views - in the evenings various DJs play to the spectacular sunsets. The public toilets are also situated here (to the side). Loungers, parasols, restaurants, bars, toilets, showers, lifeguards, access for the disabled.
GETTING THERE: Reached by car, bus or ferry in the summer months. The ferry departs regularly from San Antonio harbour and various hotels along the Bay. The bus can be caught at the bus station in San Antonio or along the bay road. Parking is good, but can get crowded in high summer.
DISTANCES: San José 11 km. - 12.5km San Antonio - 19.5km San Rafael - 24km Ibiza - 21km Airport.
